Cheryl asked (in a comment on the post "Cheap Entertainment") if Jude is as musical as ever. That is a resounding Yes! But what's funnier and cooler is that he'll pretend to not only put on a concert, but even have a recording set-up to record it all (and he seems more concerned with how it will be recorded than with the actual composition of the song). His mikes and guitars are the rolls of wrapping paper Elise brought home from Ikea. The recording equipment is the many spools of thread necessary for Elise's serger.
He's a funny kid. He was walking through Ikea with Elise and naming the artist of the particular song playing over the speakers. "That's Coldplay... U2... Moby." Now you know what music he likes. I don't know if he'll ever get any kind of classical music education, but he'll certainly know the ropes when it comes to rock'n'roll.

We need to hook him up with Niko. I put on Dave Matthews Band in the car and he said, "NO Mommy, I don't want Dave Matthews, I want u2!" He is also really good at remembering lyrics. Do you see a band in the making? When will they get together to jam?
Has he read Nick Hornby's "High Fidelity" yet?
Niko and Jude could form an incredible band!
And, like, Jude could marry Niko's hot sister.
Should we make this formal
my Margaret for your Esme? But then I would have two daughters named Esme!!!
Actually, I knew a brother and sister who married a sister and brother. Curious.
I am sure that Jude is ridiculously amazing. Cadence would love to meet him. They didn't converse much their first meeting, since Cadence couldn't talk well and Jude was a bit frightened by all the weird people at my house. Cadence is now quite the talking head, often proclaiming things I can't believe he learned from me. And, despite my best efforts he is picking up some Texan twang. Upon our first live armadillo meeting, Cadence called it an, "armadilla."
