We don't always remember our camera when going to cool places. Well, we brought it to the apple farm, and finding that the picking was so easy (big apples, only getting a heaping 5 gallon bucket's worth, most of the apples low enough for Jude to reach, and Jude's ready hand for picking the apples), I was freed to take lots of pictures. Oh, and the kids were extra cute that day (as on most days) and wearing bright colorful clothing, and Jude had painted his own face.
This is the reason you are seeing so many from this series. Note how blond Ezzie's hair has gotten. It seems to be getting blonder despite it being well past summer now. Jude's on the other only gets thicker and darker. No surprise there, I guess. He has just recently gotten his hair cut, by Elise, who does a wonderful job. Anyway, she did it special for his school pictures. He is going to be rather handsome in them, I'm sure. Can't wait to see them.

The kids are so unbearably cute!

Ack! That's a garden-way cart!!!
I grew up playing in one of those! It was one of our favourite toys. We would ride around in it all the time, pretend we were giving tours of "Old Bowmanville" (really our abandoned barn), or pretending we were royalty (and the person pulling it was a coachman), or just out for the fastest ride on earth. I've been trying to explain the contraption to Phil for a while, so I am SO glad you posted a picture!
It is also very good to see kids I love loving what I loved as a kid...apple picking and a garden-way cart. This makes me happy.
We miss you guys.
Cool comment, Biss. I'm glad that gave you such lovely memories. That's always nice, I guess.
Currently it's apple-picking weather by Michigan standards. Some say that the apples taste best when the frost hits (below freezing last night!), but others say that is just an old wives tale. I don't know if there are still apples to be picked, but we got at least one chance.
Is the weather getting you out east? I bet there aren't as many apples, but lots of maple syrup! Yum!
