The picture at the top of this blog is of Joan Miró.
I've been captivated by the photograph ever since I first saw it. This picture was originally sent by Pat Bennett, along with a few other pictures of 4s. We have been trying to sharpen our photo-typing skills. I had submitted a picture of a friend who is a purported 4 that displayed a face that seemed un-4ish to them. So they sent some pictures of other 4s for comparison. Included was a photo Joan Miró.
If you are wondering what a 4 is, it might be helpful to read the description of a 4 at the Enneagram Institute website. (By the way, I consider myself to be a 4: do the descriptions sound like me at all?)
A couple others submitted:
Ludwig Wittgenstein
Gertrud von Le Fort, whom I still don't know much about

Looking at this blog on Firefox on my Mac, the picture of Miró doesn't show up. That's awful strange. You can see the same picture if you look up Joan Miró on wikipedia.
I heard that you were into types now. I was talking to Denise upon her arrival in Texas. What type do you think I am? I am torn between enthusiast and helper. I just took the sample test but I am not sure which fits best. I scored high in peacemaker, helper, and enthusiast. I lean towards enthusiast.
Hey Benjamin. Perhaps I'll try writing to you through Facebook if this platform doesn't work. Yeah, Enthusiast seems to make sense, all the times that I've thought about you. But I'm just as willing to lean toward 2, the Helper. Certain people suggest that testing is far from accurate, if it even gets you in the ballpark. I suggest that if it is good for anything, it is that it gets the conversation going and your thought processes going about personality and your fundamental self, etc. Incidentally, Melissa is very much a 7. Do you feel a certain connection with her? Or, perhaps, do you have a fairly good understanding of where she's coming from? On the other hand, 2s: well, I tend to have a hard time spotting male 2s, though they are out there (I think 2s tend to be female more than male). Maria, my dear sister, is a 2. Another 2 is probably Rachel Flotketter (just bringing up mutual friends). Thanks for asking. I do enjoy talking about the Enneagram. Hope life is good for you.
Yes,
Melissa and I have always connected well. Do our personality types suggest that we would?
Male 2s, eh? I think I have met a few. But I think you are right, it is easier to spot in females. I would bet a lot of pastors and counselors are twos.
Thanks for your response.
