I know. It's totally ridiculous. And hilarious. Fr. John told me he reads it too, though.
Do you mean Fr. John Matusiak, our parish priest? Or do you mean Hainsworth? Just curious. (If not Matusiak, I must let him know, because he'd probably laugh a little.)
Yeah, I did mean BC's own Fr. John (Hainsworth). Though Fr. Matusiak would probably get a chuckle out of it too, I suspect.
Okay I just looked at Lark News, and they've got advertised on there: "Rod Stewart: The Worship Collection" - now that's 'edutainment.' Sweet.
Same humour, different outfit:

So, uh, you've mentioned Godspeed and your love of crescendo rock... and Zeke and I just felt it our duty to introduce you to "Do Make Say Think" and "Explosions in the Sky." Zeke went to one of the latter's shows (which was amazing), and we constantly listen to the former. You must look them up. We also just found out that our new favourite musician (he's blowing us away) is from your hometown: Sufjan Stevens. If you haven't tried him yet, and if we have a sense of your tastes, it's something we urge you to do. We don't add new favourites to our list very often, but this guy is something else. You and Elise would both like him, and i think Even J. would appreciate him. I remember how he used to sing a long to Over the Rhine. Is he still as musical as ever?
Say hi to Elise for me!
